Inspection Services

Zero tolerance for exceptions

As part of our commitment to continuous quality improvement, VASCOR routinely provides an array of critical inspection services for our customers. In fact, VASCOR inspection professionals survey the condition of a new vehicle, somewhere in the supply chain, on average, every 2 seconds.

Our inspection and related services are of particular use to clients such as

  • OEMs
  • Class I railroads in the US and Mexico
  • Truck haulaway providers

Activities related to inspection services generally occur at the end of a vehicle production line, vehicle releasing facility or at the origin or destination of a rail line. But regardless of the location, our value added proposition is to tailor our services to meet OEM requirements.

Quality inspections ensure vehicle condition is pristine and ready for shipment.

At the assembly plant, we ensure that exceptions don’t make it into the supply chain in the first place. This protects handlers and transportation providers against wrongly attributed claims. At the rail yard, we identify any exceptions to the loading and tie-down processes at the point of origin, then perform a thorough vehicle inspection at the destination to determine if any damage occurred along the way.

As our inspection services have grown in scope and depth, many customers asked us to share and analyze the data we collect. This activity has become one of the fastest-growing parts of our business. Today, VASCOR’s Analysis group can red-flag critical bottlenecks and problem areas in the supply chain process.

Over the years, VASCOR’s Transportation Inspection Services team has helped achieve significant reductions in transit damage ratios while it helps clients streamline their operations.
